Our Story

Greenwood began as a small nursery in 2019, but the lockdown changed everything. Watching coconut waste pile up across North India, our founders saw an opportunity hiding in plain sight turning discarded material into something gardeners genuinely needed. They developed high-quality cocopeat through a proprietary drying system, expanded into enriched vermicompost, and by 2022 had reshaped the brand around fixing what gardeners struggle with most: soggy cocopeat, dirty compost, and confusing labels. From our manufacturing unit in Dadri, Gautam Budh Nagar, we control every step and test every batch. Our enriched vermicompost is fortified with Seaweed Extract, Trichoderma, Nano Bio-NPK, and Neem Extract a formulation that strengthens roots, protects against soil-borne disease, and releases nutrients gradually for steady growth. Today, Greenwood is more than compost. Our range covers everything a gardener needs neem cake, bone meal, mustard cake, cocopeat, perlite, potting mixes, and leaf compost alongside handpainted ceramic planters, plant stands, and vases designed for Indian homes. Whether you're potting your first tulsi or redesigning a balcony garden, we want everything you need to come from one place you can trust. At the heart of it all are our values: trust, transparency, care, reliability, simplicity, sustainability, and genuine guidance. Quality without gimmicks, always.

Our Philosophy

Vision

Greenwood envisions a future where every Indian home grows something — where gardening is simple, joyful, and rooted in honest products. We see a country where balconies, terraces, and backyards become small pockets of green, supported by inputs people can actually trust.

Mission

We work every day to give gardeners what the market hasn't — clean, consistent, scientifically formulated inputs paired with clear guidance. From our enriched vermicompost to handpainted ceramic planters, we build a complete ecosystem so every plant parent, beginner or expert, can grow with confidence.

Value

Trust, transparency, and care guide every decision we make. We manufacture in-house, test every batch, and publish honest specifications because shortcuts have no place in a living thing's growth. Quality without gimmicks, sustainability without slogans, and genuine guidance — always.

Our Founder

Amit Jain, the founder of GreenWood, is a lifelong gardening enthusiast and seasoned entrepreneur with 40+ years of building and running more than 10 businesses. His love for horticulture started early, tending a tiny Delhi courtyard with his father, and later became his way of unwinding after long workdays. In 2018, a simple frustration—every bag of "compost" feeling different—sparked a deeper obsession with consistency. During COVID, with the nursery shut, Amit spent nights testing mixes on his rooftop and learning from growers and coir processors across India. Those conversations led to a breakthrough: a controlled coconut-drying system that produced uniform, reliable cocopeat.

GreenWood grew out of setbacks—COVID closures, early R&D failures, and marketplace challenges—which pushed Amit to build a spec-led, QA-transparent model with batch traceability and public COAs. Milestones like the coco-drying innovation, the Ghaziabad unit, and key NCR B2B wins set the stage for GreenWood's next leap: D2C expansion backed by quality-first manufacturing. His philosophy remains simple: if it wouldn't go into his own garden, it won't carry the GreenWood label.

Today, every product, service, or interaction we offer is the result of that journey. It's built with intention, tested with care, and delivered with the belief that what we create can make a real difference.
